Baby Sadie

After spending 9 hours at the hospital today for 2 appointments and prenatal classes I was so ready to go home. I managed to get a few more ultrasound pictures though which are amazing and here they are. In the first one its a profile picture of her head and you can clearly see her lips and nose as well as her head. In the second one if you look at it sideways you see her nostrils and her lips pressed up against the monitor. The third is supposed to be a foot. I cant see it but thats what the ultrasound tech said it was.  I love these pics but can not wait to see the baby outside of my body. I love the pics so much though. Sadie is now 6 lbs 6 oz and in very good health. So yay for me and that baby!!!

The heartburn has been killing me lately. I keep waking up around the same time every night. 4 am is the magic number. Sadie better have a full head of hair like Rapunzel after this heartburn… There are some crazy remedies for heartburn (I don’t like baking soda and water) but stuff like eating a banana? I can handle that. Chewing gum is another one too. The internet can be very helpful at times. I just wish I wouldn’t wake up at 4 to do this every night. Ahh well 5 more weeks if i carry to full term. Soon baby soon. Gotta try to sleep.

Holy lord was she ever active last night.  She decided to start kicking as hard as she could from about 11 until 2 or 3 in the morning. My gosh. And of course shes getting bigger so I was up about 8 times through the night to pee. I can not wait until she is evacuated from my body:)

I had an ultrasound today and they told me Sadie is perfect. Ha like I didnt know that Im uploading the pic they did today so everyone can see her little head and nose. I think she has Jays nose which isnt good… means shes gonna snore ALOT. Anyways doctors appt was good, Blood pressure was borderline.. I threw the bags for Sadie and I in the car just in case something were to happen I would be ready. Had a prenatal class tonight. Almost lost it laughing when a girl thought the placenta was the same thing as the uterus and was mortified when the lady giving the class told us that the placenta would come out after the baby was born. She then proceeded to ask “What if you want to have another baby? ” lol

Well I haven’t posted yet and Tamara is starting to give me the evil eye so I better say something.

I just wanted to Thank everyone who have been so helpful with everything. I have had the misfortune of being sick the last while so hopefully that’s behind me and I can focus on Tamara as we prepare for Sadie’s arrival!

We feel really ready though, Sadie’s room is done, the carseats are in and Tamara is home and off work now. I figure by month 5 I will be ready to change a diaper :-P….

I was informed that I needed more pictures on the site and I thought that I had to wait till she was born. I didn’t think of doing some pictures of her room until my aunt Pam suggested it so here they are for you all to see. Enjoy!!

I thought attempting to work for the next four days was a good idea. Apparently Sadie was not interested in having me standing all day because after 2 1/2 hours the blood pressure was up with that blinding headache and swollen ankles. I called my boss and she is so awesome and understanding so my little shift today was my last. I am gonna miss work but this whole experience is going to be so new and different that I think I will love being a mom. I`m completely addicted to watching baby story. It scares me a little but I am so excited I can’t stand it. I bought a new book called The happiest baby on the block. Ive read about 15 pages and it seems great so far. I can actually take my time cleaning the rest of the house and maybe read a few books and do a puzzle and generally just relax. OMG what am I gonna do with all this time??!! I know update everyone on this website I will let you all know how many times and at what time specifically I am peeing LOL kidding…. Thats my latest update for today. Yay for being off work and thank god for understanding bosses. Thanks Chris. I will bring the baby in to visit and after I have her I will call you all and let you know what room I’m in so you can come visit.

Tamara

I had my eightieth doctors appointment today lol. The ultrasound says that Sadie is still in the head down position and ready to come. Her practice breathing is good and the amniotic fluid is right where its supposed to be. The doctors decided to put me off work 2 weeks early due to some higher than normal blood pressure. I have bloodwork to get and appointments and ultrasounds weekly now. I will be 34 weeks this Sunday so I think I did pretty well for working. I am pretty relieved to be going off though. I still have to clean the house as much as I can and get the car cleaned out and install the car seat. I will probably do that Monday. Will update more as it comes.

Mommy

So after work last night I noticed my feet and ankles were really swollen and it made me really worried because of toxemia and pre-eclampsia and seeing as I have a history with blood clots I didn’t want to take chances so at 11 pm last night I headed in to the hospital. I didn’t bring anything with me because I wasn’t expecting them to keep me overnight. But they surprised me. They kept me so that they could get me into ultrasound first thing this morning. I didn’t bring anything like pajamas and was oh so uncomfortable in hospital wear. Thank god we have good insurance and I didn’t have to share a room. Anyways, point is the baby is perfect and the ultrasound was negative but it’s better safe than sorry. I was only there for about 12 hours all together.

Oh my gosh the people that came out today to see us and Michelle for hosting such a great shower. I can not even thank everyone enough for everything today. The gifts were amazing and I will take some pictures of some of the things I got for the baby. I’m glad we got the gifts for her but I was more excited to see everyone. Especially Michelle and April. I love you all for making me feel so loved and I can’t wait to bring the baby for a visit.

I am trying again to upload the ultrasound picture onto a post on the main page so hopefully it works.
